Pet Rituals

A collage of pets wearing kippahs and tallits (head coverings and prayer shawls).

From bark mitzvahs to pet loss, Rabbi Noyo offers meaningful and personalized rituals that acknowledge the special place pets hold in our lives. She understands that pets are family, and we love to celebrate them and honor them like we would for any other family member.

CELEBRATIONS

For those who wish to celebrate the joy a pet brings to your life, Rabbi Noyo offers celebrations (with or without a fun name like "bat meowtzvah"!) of your furry, feathered, or scaly friend that can be tailored to include storytelling, gratitude rituals, or symbolic acts that honor their place in your family.

PET LOSS

Rabbi Noyo has created memorial and burial services for pets to help a family say goodbye. While Jewish tradition does not structure the mourning process for a pet the way it does for a person, Rabbi Noyo knows that grief for a pet can be as deep and painful as for a human, and will bring aspects of the Jewish mourning process to help a family mourn and heal.
